5 Tips for taking care of an oily face

I have always had an oily face, and with such a face, you can even get pimples at 25. Which is kind of strange since pimples are a teenage thing. Anyway, an oily face is just as stubborn as an African dictator. It’s hard living with an oily face, it takes some elbow grease to handle. But you can have a peaceful stay with an oily face if you follow simple strategies like not using face lotions or just eating fruits and exercising. Here is a list of daily care routines you can use to take care of your oily face. This is for men, by the way, there is a little difference between a man’s skin which I have and a woman’s skin. But hey, maybe it works for chics too. I have always been good at taking care of my skin from a young age.

Avoid using face lotions

You already have enough oil in your skin, why are you still applying more oil? You are like pork, when you want to fry pork you don’t use cooking oil. I will be surprised if you use oil to cook that type of meat. Pork is just put on a pan and heat like that. It will produce its own oil. Have you seen what happens when you leave a pig under the sun? It can die. The same way you will clog your pores if you apply lotion on an oily face. And so the very first thing to remember is that you don’t need oil on your face, maybe a moisturizer for oily face.

And if you are not using oil on your face, this is what you can do instead.

Wash your face twice a day with water only 

Just water. No soap. You do this in the morning and in the evening. After doing that, use a clean towel. Have a separate towel for your face. You can’t be using that towel you used to wipe your body on your face. Just buy a nice face towel for your face.

An oily face is kind of delicate and gets blemishes and white spots easily. You want to take a little caution with it. 

Avoiding touching your face

Men like touching their beards or nose as they admire themselves in the mirror. They do this a lot. You can easily introduce bacteria on your face when you do this or maybe dirt. Your hands are not that clean. You have been touching surfaces the whole day and you still use the same hands to touch your face. This can easily give you a bad face. So please, touch your other body parts; your hands, your legs or just touch your friends instead.

Work out to have a clear face

This is it, if you have to work out enough and sweat out all the toxins under your skin, it will help detoxify your body. And you won’t get pimples if you exercise a lot. Working out is quite a therapy for skin and body. Damn, I sound like a dermatologist when I say this. Well, I am not a quack either. I am all talking from experience.

 I have a good oily face, and it shines like a bar of silver when I step out under the sun. And to finish on this working out, it doesn’t have to be an intense workout, you can just be jogging. Another option is to steam in a sauna if you have enough money for that.

Eat fruits to have a good-looking face

What you eat can show on your face. You are what you eat. If you consume fatty foods and you have an oily face, you are just welcoming pimples to your face. Avoid fries, pancakes, Choma sausages and toasts. And sodas and chemical juices. Instead, eat mangoes and pineapples. Watermelon and Avocado. You can also try vegetables; Spinach, Cabbages, and Cucumbers.

Fruits are good for your general health, not just your skin. They are helpful in giving you good skin, they make your skin look young and shiny, especially the face. You want a nice face, eat more Avocado, don’t smear it on your face. I see people masking their faces with bananas, lemons and olive oil. Eat these things raw and you will be healthier.

Drink a lot of water to keep your face clean

You have to drink plenty of water. Mineral water preferred. This keeps you hydrated. I don’t know if there is a substitute for water if you want a clear face. I once took a test and I was told my water level is low. I was scared because I have seen people get sick and they are admitted to be added water. You know the dripping water. I decided to increase my intake of water. I found it hard to swallow 8 glasses of water as advised by doctors so I resorted to drinking soups, hot chocolate, fresh juices and lots of sugarless tea. And I think my water level is good at the moment. You want to avoid tap water. If you must take tap water just boil it.

Conclusion

Having oily skin is the best thing that can happen to you as a man. Do you know why? Because it ages slowly. It doesn’t wrinkle fast like other skin types. I am on my 28th year but guys think I am 24 because my face looks young. However, an oily face can be problematic because if left uncared for, it will give you a lot of pimples and blackheads that you don’t want. I struggled with that until I was advised by a doctor to follow those tips. And it has been working. I am looking so clean of late.
